Home feed filters
The signed-in homepage supports one POV filter at a time: player, map, or event.
The selected filter lives in the URL, for example /?player=Spinx,
/?map=de_mirage, or /?event=BLAST+Porto. Selecting another filter replaces
the previous one; All removes it. Unrelated query parameters are preserved.
Reloading or returning from a video keeps the selected filter. Browser Back and
Forward move through filter selections.
Suggestions come from the unfiltered feed and remain available during filtering. A directly opened filter URL also shows its active selection, even when that player or event is outside the suggested tags. Filtered results omit the hero and editorial inserts.
flashback/src/app/HomePageClient.js owns this behavior. Native browser history
updates synchronize with Next’s useSearchParams; the existing video query
performs the filtering without reloading the server-rendered home catalogue.
The global layout reserves 64 pixels for the fixed header. Only the visible desktop hero may cancel that spacing with a negative top margin. Remove the whole hero wrapper when filtering: leaving an empty wrapper pulls the setup banner or filter bar behind the header. Check both incomplete and completed setup states, since the banner can mask this layout defect.
